Dean is a fabulous 13 year old with a love for all things musical. He is very outgoing, loves to chat and is always saying hello to people he knows locally; he rarely forgets a face! He is very active and enjoys tennis, swimming, cricket, rugby, football, water parks and dog walking. Dean is autistic and can become anxious which can lead to tics and less desirable behaviours. Dean is very strong and tall for his age (5ft.
9) And when anxious he can become more physical.
Snap are looking for someone to support Dean before and after school and during the school holidays. During term time when Dean is at school there will be a variety of household duties and errands to keep you busy such as preparing meals, grocery shopping and walking the dog. *If you would prefer to use the bulk of this time for yourself this would be a possibility, but please note, this would be unpaid. You will play a part in looking after Dean’s younger sister Rochelle who will also require an evening meal and supervision after school.
This job will suit someone who has great autism experience and enjoys sport so they are able to engage with Dean accordingly. You should also be strong and confident managing potential behaviour which can be physical.
This is a brilliant opportunity to work with a family well known to Snap and to continue to support Dean’s development as he heads towards his teenage years. For more information please speak to Rachael who has met this warm and welcoming family.
Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
