Since Cork and Bottle was established in 1971, it has consistently enjoyed a reputation as the epitome of fine British wine bars with dining in London. Cork and Bottle combines a modern philosophy on service with all that is traditionally British to create the perfect dining experience with exceptional wines to match.
The Cork and Bottle currently has two venues situated in London's Leicester Sq and Paddington. The company plans on expanding to 6 venues by 2020.
Cork and Bottle is open all day for lunch and dinner everyday.
Cork and Bottle has won many awards over the years for its diverse and immense wine list and currently boasts over 300 wines on the wine list.
The Role and Duties:
-Thorough understanding of all beverages sold.
- Helping to place wine orders and stock rotation.
-Maintaining Aperitifs and Digestives menus.
-Ability to follow clear instructions from managers and maintain the restaurant standards.
-Adhere to the restaurant Health and Safety policy, responsibilities and obligations.
-To stock up the bar at the end of each shift.
-To know the regulars and theirs names
-To provide the clientele with the best service by exceeding their expectations.
Ideal Candidate:
-Shift patterns are for lunch and dinner shifts.
-9/10 Shifts per week – approximately 45 hours per week with 2 days off.
-At least 1 years’ experience as front of house with wine experience in a similar establishment is desirable but not essential.
-A good knowledge of bar work and cocktails.
-Immaculate presentation and grooming
-Be able to understand and speak English
-experience of catering for a capacity of at least 80 covers for lunch and dinner.
-Enthusiastic and eager to learn new techniques, cocktails and wines.
