Niche is an independently owned restaurant serving modern British food right next to Sadler's Wells Theatre in Angel, Islington. Our 'Niche' is that everything on the menu is gluten-free!

Person for whom smiling is natural, normal and everyday not just for Christmas! We want to find an experienced* waiter/waitress to work in our small but dedicated, naturally friendly front of house team. You will be a natural team player and have both the ability and willingness to tackle all parts of a busy working restaurant, from the moment the customer calls or comes in, there super experience with us to the moment they leave and you say goodbye and see you again soon. Honesty, commitment and loyalty is expected and rewarded!

experience MEANS JUST THAT
By experienced we mean you’ve worked as a WAITER OR WAITRESS within a busy restaurant for at least 3 months in the UK! Of course we do provide training using our EPOS systems, our menus, health and safety, food safety and extra training on gluten free and special diets. We don’t do personality transplants here so a naturally friendly demeanour and personality is essential.
Duties would include:
- Excellent customer service and interaction
- Liaising with customers via email and phone
- Key holding responsibilities including opening and closing the restaurant
- Handling cash/payment/opening and closing checks
- Making sure our high standards of service are given day in day out
- Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained
Mr or Ms absolutely right will have a
- Really good sense of humour
- experience in a busy restaurant environment
- Working knowledge of how to write and use email
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- A positive 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn
