Bonhams, the famous auction house in Mayfair, is looking for an experienced waiter or waitress to join its Michelin starred restaurant at New Bond Street.
We are located within the heart of Mayfair, a 5 minute walk from Bond Street and Oxford Circus tube stations. The position is 8 shifts over 5 days, we have the luxury of being closed weekends and bank holidays.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-opening the cafe, making and serving a variety of hot drinks in the bar and restaurant, and general barista duties
-setting the restaurant for lunch and dinner as necessary, including mise en place and prep for service as required
-working to a high standard of cleanliness, consistency and care during service
-full knowledge of the chefs cuisine, menus we serve, allergy awareness
-interest in wine and spirits and a basic knowledge of wine service is a plus
-taking reservations, meeting and greeting guests
-other duties in line with working in a busy Mayfair restaurant.
We are a small front of house team, and are looking for the right person for a long term role. You must have a can do attitude and be a hard worker, but also be friendly and willing to have fun. It is essential you speak and understand English well- there is a lot of interaction with our guests and other staff members.
We offer meals on duty, free laundering of uniform, a competitive salary, and equal share of all service charge.
