SANE is a leading UK mental health charity working to improve quality of life for anyone affected by mental illness.
Our vision: a time when no individual or family has to face the distress or isolation that results from coping with mental illness alone. We believe that everyone should have someone to turn to and the right to live a full life - not just survive.
Volunteers are at the heart of how we do this, delivering help and ongoing support to the people who turn to us for support.
We are looking for volunteers to support people by phone, text or in writing, based in our offices in Islington. You could also help moderate our online community or work in the office.
About you: You’re compassionate, warm, empathetic and resilient. You care about mental health. You can commit to one four-hour shift a week for a year. You're looking for ongoing development and skills you can use in other areas of your life.
In return we provide full training and travel expenses up to the cost of a one-day Travelcard for zones 1-6.
You can find out more about our volunteer roles on our website or sign up for a Volunteer Evening on Eventbrite.
Join us and help change mental health for good.
