We are looking for six volunteers to join our friendly, welcoming team in Oxfam Herne Hill. The shop here is a particularly successful one, with a great volunteer team and some amazing donors and customers - but we do need more help, particularly on the run up to Christmas!
If you're looking to add to your CV or gain some experience in retail you can expect to gain the following - and more. None of it is compulsory, all is offered!
•Customer Service Skills
•Working as part of a diverse team
•Communicating with people at all levels
•Resolving problems
•Operating an EPOS till (the standard retail till)
•Cash handling
•Merchandising and Display
•Shift Leading/ Supervisory/ Key-holder experience (if you wish to take on extra responsibility or provide evidence of managerial skills on your CV)
We welcome those with no experience as well as those looking to utilise existing skills - full training will always be given. Ideally we'd like it if you can commit to a minimum of one shift per week (4 hours) but we are flexible on this.
