We are looking for volunteers to join our busy and dynamic Oxfam store in Walthamstow as a Book Department Assistant. You will support the shop by sorting, pricing, categorising and displaying books from our cascade and donated stock.
We have a fun, welcoming and diverse team of volunteers but need you to continue our good work. We are flexible with shifts from mornings to afternoons, weekdays to weekends but kindly ask for a minimum of 4 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Sorting and categorising incoming stock
Pricing and displaying books in the shop
Maintaining systems of organisation and updating logs
Researching and pricing items
Responding to customer enquiries
What are We are looking for?
Reliable and enthusiastic
Willingness to learn
Systematic with strong organisational skills
Once trained, ability to work on own initiative
Dedicated team member
You do not need previous experience as we will provide all the training and support you need.
