Volunteer Customer Service Assistants are required for a variety of shifts at our shop in Palmers Green. This is a great opportunity to develop or enhance your retail skills.
Our ideal assistants are reliable, well presented, have good numerical skills and are confident cash handling as accuracy is important for this role. A friendly attitude is required as you will be first point of call for our customers and representing our shop.
Key responsibilities:
-Serving customers, operating the till and card machine
-Providing excellent customer service
-Maintaining the shop presentation standards
-Answering customer queries
-Receiving donations and promoting our Gift Aid scheme
-Cashing up
Skills and competencies:
-No experience required but volunteers must be dedicated, reliable and willing to learn
-Ability to work within the shop guidelines
-Honesty, reliability and ability to work as part of a team
-An interest in retail and customer service
-Good communication and numeracy skills
-Ability to follow instructions
-Attention to detail
Shifts Available:
We are open 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday. Shifts for this role are 9.30am-1.30pm or 1.30pm-5.30pm. Ideally we'd like it if you can commit to a minimum of one shift per week (4 hours) but we are flexible on this.
