Artisan People are currently recruiting for Visitor experience Assistants to work at a Historic Cathedral in London. The role involves approaching visitors outside the Cathedral to engage with them and share information regarding a visit - this involves being knowledgeable about the venue, the available tours and other ticketed elements of a visit and being an enthusiastic advocate and champion for the Cathedral.
Candidates must have:
Great enthusiasm and a highly friendly demeanour
Confidence in speaking to people and groups of all ages.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to align tone and language with the venue's expectations.
experience of working in a front-line role at a similar venue or tourist attraction
Ability to stand for long periods of time and stay motivated, providing excellent customer service throughout
Commitment to the work schedule as required by the client
Second languages are advantageous.
Your responsibilities will include:
Approaching potential visitors outside the venue in a friendly, enthusiastic manner
Sharing information about the Cathedral - including ticket costs, unique experiences available and the history and heritage of the site with the aim of encouraging a visit.
Looking up information in the material provided.
As a front-line position, you will be expected to know further information about the site, the area and the heritage of the Cathedral - A keen ability to learn and absorb information is key.
This is a six week placement with shift times typically ranging from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday. We are looking to put together a team who will share the work, so you should expect 3-5 shifts per week, including Saturdays.
Artisan are taking applications immediately, with second interview at the Cathedral on w/b 21.8.17 and an immediate start after.
