VIP Restaurant Waiting Staff Needed

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic food waiters for our VIP Amex Lounge!
Major areas of responsibility
Service
• Completes Levy steps of service
• Good knowledge of menu and ingredients used and a good ability to describe all dishes
• Displays a positive guest attitude
• Acts with a sense of urgency
• Never stand around, always find something to do
• Effectively uses suggestive and upselling techniques
• Adheres to Levy appearance guidelines
• To be confident in adequately answering guest’s queries
• Exceeds guest expectations at all times
• To ensure guest complaints are handled appropriately and follow up is offered by a manager
• To have an excellent knowledge of the menu, drinks and wine list and be able to make recommendations
• To create a memorable experience for all guests in order to encourage repeat business
• Reports punctually for duty. Any lateness will be logged (Three strike policies apply)
• A clean and tidy appearance, dressed according to Levy requirements and to abide by all the regulations laid out in the staff induction leaflets and staff handbook
• Adhere to all service guidelines as listed throughout Thousand Detail Dining
Key Tasks
• Establishes rapport with guests and members
• Set Up all areas to the standard as set out by your line Manager
• Close down all areas to the standard as set out by your line Manager
• Able to carry out event bar duties where necessary
• Maintain all service areas
• Ensure that RSA is followed at all times
• To greet and take orders from customers, completing dockets as required
• Prepare and present the bill to the guest and process payment ensuring that the correct change and receipt is given
• To serve all food and drink ordered in a polite, efficient, courteous manner, in line with standards set by your line Manager
• Ensure correct accompaniments are available at all times
• To clear all tables and surrounding areas
• Good understanding of the room layout/floor plan, while completing daily pre show checks
• Responsible for your allocated till and any variances at the end of the night
• Responsible management of open checks within your allocated area
• Prepare bills and process payments
• To ensure that all health, safety and hygiene rules and procedures are followed at all times
• Adhere to Levy guidelines and venue rules
• Thoroughly complete all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities
• Attend supervisors briefing and familiarise yourself with the menu information and individual customer requirements
• Able to assist any area within the Amex Lounge to meet the business requirements
• Have an excellent understanding of POS and mobile ordering system
Team
• Displays a positive attitude towards team members
• Assists team members when required
• Maintains a high quality of areas at all times
• Attend training sessions as and when required
• Undertake any other duty deemed reasonable by the management, in order to meet the demands of the business
Job Requirements
• Ability to lift and transport trays from kitchen, not exceeding recommended health and safety guidelines
• Walking and standing during event times with appropriate breaks given
• Competent use of written and spoken English
• Hazards include, but are not limited to; slips, trips, falls, cuts and burns
