Established in 1866, the Royal Aeronautical Society is the world’s only professional body dedicated to the entire Aerospace community.
It's headquarters are No.4 Hamilton Place which is a luxurious Edwardian Town House complete with a magnificent roof terrace overlooking Hyde Park.
The venue boasts 10 rooms in total. Our classic rooms retain their original, ornate and elegant features whilst our modern rooms provide the latest state of the art audio visual facilities.
With private and corporate clients, the venue is ideally suited for a variety of events including weddings, conferences, meetings, seminars, receptions and dinners.
We are currently looking for Venue Maintenance Coordinator to be responsible for overseeing the maintenance throughout No 4 Hamilton Place and the National Aerospace Library.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate contractors to undertake maintenance works to ensure No.4’s building (including offices) and roof terrace and the NAL are safe and working within all H and S requirements.
To create and implement proactive maintenance schedulesand enforce them among staff.

All H and S to include; intruder alarm, air conditioning contract, lift contract, asbestos, boiler, ECR/electrics, emergency lighting, drainage, kitchen services and waste management, fire safety/alarms, legionella checks, PAT Testing, flagpole service, COSHH.

Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues and undertake maintenance work where necessary including basic plumbing, electrical works and painting and decorating as required.

Project manage any refurbishment and renovation programs.

Undertake regular inspections on all facilities, equipment and services to identify and resolve issues.

Maintain maintenance and equipment logs and reporting to comply with H and S guidelines and requirements.

Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.

To proactively contribute to the improvement of venue facilities and services for events and customers.

To assist with event room setup and breakdowns in particular during busy periods.

To learn and be able to demonstrate effective use and management of the CRM database system for maintenance works.

Be a point of contact in the venue hire team for all Raes personnel for maintenance enquiries.

This is a part time role (2.5 days per week). Pro rata salary - £27,000 - £30,000.
