Based in East London, London Venue Transfer provide transport services to event and production companies across London and the south east. We are looking for personable, capable and reliable part-time drivers to join our team. Our vehicles range from 3.5t to 18t so to drive them you will need B, C1 and/or Class 2 driving entitlements.
The workload is varied – no two days will be the same - but our work usually involves collecting and delivering equipment to and from our clients and their event locations.
The minimum shift length is 5 hours but longer shifts are available. You’ll need to be flexible to cover the work as shifts can start at anytime of the day or night, so it’s essential to have your own transport to get in and out of work when required.
You must be physically fit as helping load and unload vehicles, as part of a team, is an important part of the job. It’s also really important you have good communication skills and have a calm demeanour; you’ll need to be able to understand changing schedules and deal with clients politely and professionally at all times. A good geographical knowledge and experience of driving in Central London is also important.
To be eligible to apply you will need a current, valid UK driving licence with entitlement for B, C1 or C Categories. You will be asked to prove your entitlement to work in the UK and provide details of your driving history and experience. To drive vehicles above 3.5t, you will need to possess a current valid digital tacho card and driver CPC card.
