Urban Winery Job in London

Posted: Today
Place: Bethnal Green, Central East London

Renegade - East London's Urban Winery seeks friendly, energetic, hardworking Bar Manager! Someone to make the urban winery bar their 'baby' and run the show.
Renegade London Wine is an Urban Winery based in Bethnal Green, East London. We have a fully-fledged wine making facility producing premium wines in London from UK and European grapes. We work with family-owned vineyards and bring the grapes back to London for processing.
We produce around 27,000 bottles of wine a year. Most of this is sold to restaurants, bars and through retail partners, but a portion is also sold direct to the public through our winery bar. We are currently open Wed-Sun in the evenings and during the afternoon at weekends.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, customer focused, wine loving and generally incredible bar manager who would enjoy working in a small dynamic team.  You need to love working in a bar, serving customers, love nightlife and enjoy throwing a party. You don’t need to be a wine nerd. We are not wine snobs.
We are a young and exciting new business looking to grow our team. We need a team member who can take full responsibility of the winery bar as their baby and take it to even higher heights that it currently is at.
The Renegade winery bar is not a fancy, pristine bar, we are a working winery and you will need to get Stuck into the rawness and ‘rough around the edges’ vibe. We need a fun, super nice, hardworking team member.
Bar Manager responsibilities:
- Hiring, training, retaining and motivating staff.
- Planning and taking part in winery focused events.
- Setting and enforcing quality and hygiene standards.
- Providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Managing stock levels, orders and deliveries.
- Making improvements to the general running and efficiency of the bar.
- Help develop and grow the retail/take-away/events side of the business.
Bar manager requirements:
- Previous bar management would be great but not essential if you’re the one!
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Super communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights and weekends.
- Desire to help develop and grow a new small business into a great brand.
- Ability to come up with creative solutions and think outside the box.
- Event management experience a bonus.
