Up to Gross per Hour Female Support Worker TW1

Title: Part time*Female Support worker| TW1
Location:  Twickenham, TW1
Nearest Train / Tube Station: Nearest train: Twickenham.
Wage: £13.00 -£15.00 gross per hour (£12.00 gross per hour during the initial 6 weeks training period)
Driver required? Preferable
Use of a car? On duty
Essential: A professional care background; personal care, hoisting, moving and handling etc.
Start Date:  as soon as possible
Days and Hours: Monday – Friday, 7.00pm – 10.00pm, additional shifts available.
Julie is a delightful young lady aged 16. She has a spinal injury, is a wheelchair user and requires support with all her transfers. She uses ventilation support, has a tracheostomy and requires 24-hour adult support. Julie can communicate well, but fatigues easily.
This role will involve supporting Julie 1:1 with her care needs and night time routine; providing all aspects or personal care, administering medication, manual handling and ensuring her safety and comfort.  Julia’s parents are very hands on, you will be working alongside either mum or an additional support worker.
This job will suit an experienced carer who has a real passion and commitment to support a young person with complex medical needs. Someone with great communication skills and a calm and caring manner will really fit in well. The job offers excellent training opportunities, including tracheotomy care.  A great opportunity to work with this fantastic young lady and support her to enjoy the best possible quality of life!
