We are looking for an experienced, serious and motivated individual to head up our UK sales division. This applicant will have full responsibility for developing and following our UK sales with tour operators and travel agents and driving the call centre sales. The role will also include managing the small London based team.
Ski France is the UK sales branch and brand for our French hotel-resort group Madame Vacances. We specialise in affordable, hassle-free holidays across France and pride ourselves on going the extra mile for our guests.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As the UK sales manager, your role will be building up direct client sales via the call centre and website. This will including constant sales monitoring and training of the call centre team. Your role is also to be the UK contracts and sales manager for professional partners (tour operators, travel agents etc) and you will have the task of setting up new partnerships and driving and developing the portfolio of existing trade clients.
Your responsibilities will include deciding on marketing campaigns with the web manager and special promotions to ensure that our destinations are the most attractive possible. You will manage the team to drive traffic to the website, phone calls to the call centre and maximize sales conversions. You will be responsible for analysing the evolution of the market and reacting accordingly and creatively to stimulate sales.
With the trade partners, contracts are renegotiated yearly, focussing on sales potential, special offers, payment and cancellation terms and commission levels.
You will be tasked with developing new products and introducing them onto the UK market.
You will have the opportunity to participate at organised official trade fairs at different times throughout the year. (World Travel Market in London, Grand Ski in France, for example). You will be required to travel to visit partners, attend functions and to participate in trade shows. Your main place of work will be the UK office in the centre of London, but regular visits to the head office in Chambery, France will be important.
The position involves certain administrative tasks to ensure that the activities of the department run smoothly.
You will be the reference point of contact between your partners, the team in the London office and all the other departments in the Chambery head office and in the residences and hotels. This will require you to be able to transmit clearly and lucidly any information relating to your clients.
You will be in charge of the UK sales and UK sales team, ensuring that all aspects are being correctly covered, including payments. The team are based in the London office and include part-time workers and interns.
To be considered for this position you must have:
- A natural flair for sales. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, autonomous and ready to throw themselves into the challenge.
- Superior communication skills to maintain healthy working relationships with partners.
- A keen eye for analysis and follow up of the market.
- Excellent telephone skills
- A desire to work with, manage and drive a young and dynamic team.
- experience in tourism and sales – ideally with a background in sales in travel
- Knowledge of France and skiing would be helpful
- A good level of French
