Two Au Pairs Job in London

Posted: Today
Place: Shepherds Bush - West London Zone 2

We are a crazy little family - with three boys aged 7, 5 and 4! (Zach, Jacob and Harry). The boys have a moroccan dad and so also speak arabic.  But while he has them some weekends and holidays, they mostly live with me (Mum) - kiwi and my dutch partner.
About Us
The boys are awesome fun - and a wonderful team with loads of energy and laughter. We are keen for someone to start in late August or earlier (can be flexible). But.we can be flexible start date - but if you were available to come to Spain to assist while on holiday 25 July to 5 August that would be great.  Hopefully you're travelling with a friend or you're a couple as ideally you'll share a room.

We would love someone to stick around a while if it works both sides - as our boys (and hopefully us) will get very attached. We just need spare pair of hands and some help running the household.

Zach is 7 years old - and just starting his forth year at school. He takes his big brother responsibilities very seriously, is warm, funny, sensitive and creative. He is a joker and generally likes 'being a good boy' and is very empathetic.

Jacob is 5 in september - he is starting school in September. He is observant, confident, super handsome (and uses it) and very determined! He is the stealth rebel of the house - disappears in an instant and is very independent.he's a a classic middle child - likes to get one over on his brothers and then melts down if they do the same back. He has a permanent twinkle in his eye.

Harry. Well, 4 in October.he is a little joiner and spends all his time copying his brothers and he is a huge Flirt. Harry is the big eater of the household and very solid and strong. He and Jacob think they are twins (only a year apart) and won't be told otherwise. Harry goes to nursery 5 days a week.

All the kids speak english, arabic and basic spanish.

We are quite a flexible household - we are laid back but also spontaneous- not particularly routine orientated - so being flexible is the key to this all working well.
Expectations
We envisage that 2 is better than 1 - three kids is quite a lot - so we want you to tag team to look after them so we have coverage and spare hands when we need them.  I image one au pair might focus on sports, activities, one might be better suited to cooking and running the house.but it would be up to you to sort out.
What we require:
- Circa 30 hours per week plus 1 nights babysitting each.
- 7 - 8.30 Am 5 days per week is getting the kids dressed, breakfasted and taking them to school / nursery.
- School pick ups from 3.30 - 4.30 - co-ordinating after school clubs / homework and preparing fresh and interesting meals.
- Preparing dinner and feeding the kids and helping with the bedtime routine.  We'd love it if you were a confident cook and can expand the boys repetoir.
- Homework and reading time is important
- Initiative - so you can be given a chore or task and just run with it would be great.
- 2/3 Nights babysitting per week - at least one night will be on the weekend.
- 4 Hours per day Saturday and Sunday - but sometimes we go away for the weekend.
- Day off per week - to be arranged depending on the week,
- Laundry and cleaning and general house work to keep the house tidy, the laundry done etc is an important part of the job!

What you get in return
- A shared bedroom - can be set up with twin beds or a large double - in a large, spacious house.
- A bathroom which is mostly just for you.
- £115 Per week
- The boys Dad takes the kids to Morocco for long stretches at a time so there may be long periods when only the oldest (Zach) is around to look after. We also go away a fair bit (most school holidays). You may join us on holidays.
- If you can ski and play loads of sports that would be great.
