We are proud to supply some of the Capitals finest Delicatessens and Award winning restaurants. We operate at events throughout the capital as well as having Stalls at various weekly Farmers Markets in London.
We are a young, fun company run by 2 entrepreneurial Directors, and are looking to hire a transport manager to take responsibility in leading our driving team.
We need someone to work 6 days per week managing our deliveries in London. A flexible working pattern and experience of working at night is essential, our successful applicant will be working between 1am - 3am at our kitchen in W3, be on call beyond this for any driver related issues and then have a hand-over call with our office via phone at 8:30am when the team have finished on the road. You will then need to work for a few hours in the afternoon (Monday - Friday) speaking with the office about the next days deliveries, helping to prepare the routes and other paperwork.
We are looking for someone who has strong leadership skills, having demonstrated management of a team at this level. You will need to have excellent communication skills, be professional when dealing with customers and our staff, computer literate and possess a ‘can do’ attitude.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Ensuring safe and timely deliveries to our wide base of customers.
- Maintaining a good level of staff standards within the driving team, including being involved in the hiring and training process.
- Ensuring the smooth packing and checking of products at our collection point.
- Managing staff Rota's amongst the team
- Managing our fleet of vans, booking MOT's, cleaning Rota's, Maintenance services etc.
- Liaising with our office on a daily basis in regards to customers, products and deliveries.
Our ideal candidate will be hardworking and presentable. They will have the drive needed to get the job done with a smile. They will also need to be over 25 with a full UK driving licence, held for 2 years (for insurance purposes). A good experience of driving in Central London is essential. You must be physically fit, as there is some lifting involved.
