Transport and Dispatch Controller
Wholegood is an organic wholesale business for shops and restaurants around London. The business started in 2007 and the founder is still an active part within the business. We now employ around 40 people including warehouse pickers and packers, drivers and office staff. We are based in a 28,000 sq ft warehouse in Greenford, West London. Our business is growing at a rapid rate and we are looking for a Transport and Dispatch Controller to ensure all orders reach our customers successfully.
Our team of drivers leaves early in the morning; this role will start at 4am and finish at 12noon.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the dispatch of all customer deliveries in the morning
• Contact point for the drivers
• Understand the SLA agreement with our customers and ensure all calls are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
• Liaise between Wholegood and Distribution Centres
• Accurately complete all Transport charges
• Organise and manage all transport administration in line with the company policies and procedures
• Ensure all delivery information for all customers are up to date in our database
Essential Skills:
• Good Communication skills as you will be contacting customers directly to explain if there are any delivery issues
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• You must be able to plan in advance and have great organisational skills
• Proactive attitude and a willingness to help the team and resolve any problems that may arise
Desirable
• Forklift license
• Drivers license
Salary: £22,000 - £24,000
