Browns of Brockley is in its 8th year of serving speciality coffee and quality food in South East London. We are looking to add to our existing team by finding a similarly-minded person who is friendly and chatty, while hardworking, efficient, and passionate about providing quality service. We are on first-name basis with many of our customers and love to chat to newcomers, but try to strike a balance by maintaining a level of professionalism.
experience working on an espresso machine will be advantageous, but we can train anyone up who has worked in a similar fast-paced environment and shows skill in working quickly to a high standard. Quick, fluent communication is vital, as is an ability to use initiative in the heat of the moment.
The position will be around 40 hours per week, including weekends, starting from around the 8th May. Shifts start as early as 7am so you will need to live locally or somewhere easy to commute from. Once a probationary period has been completed, successful employees are given a permanent contract and an hourly rate in line with London Living Wage.
If you think the position is for you please send a CV, but we're mainly interested to read a couple of paragraphs about yourself and why you are interested in the job.
**Applications with just a CV and no covering letter will be ignored!**
We will only respond to promising candidates.
