SSP Group is currently recruiting for a new role within our Trade Marketing team - a Trade Marketing and Space Planning Executive to support our team with the implementation and delivery of key Trade Marketing activity.The Trade Marketing and Space Planning Executive will also support the delivery of space planning initiatives and planograms to support the wider Commercial team SSP Group Plc is a worldwide company operating numerous branded food and beverage outlets in the travel sector (airports, rail stations and other leisure environments). You might recognise some of our other outlets - Delice De France, Pumpkin Café, Millies Cookies and Pasty Shop. We also have franchise agreements in travel locations for partners such as M and S Simply Food, Burger King, Starbucks and other popular high street brands.The RoleIn this role, as Trade Planning and Space Executive, you'll have two major tasks. You'll be working closely with our Commercial team to ensure that key supplier income promotional activity is correctly implemented, taking the activity from creation to activation across our businesses. You'll also be involved in Space Planning activity, to complete the space planning analysis as required and make sure that all initatives support commercial growth in our stores. With your experience in brand activation and account management, you will be comfortable working across brands, tenacious, driven and able to work with key stakeholders across the business. Typical duties would include (but are not limited to);1. Activating and implement activities which form part of joint business plans which are secured by the wider Trade Marketing teams, this includes: * Update and maintain Trade Marketing activity calendar * Prepare and submit creative briefs to access creative design which are provided by the Group Marketing function * Track progress of briefs and ensure delivery to time and budget * Manage collection and collation of correct art work files from suppliers * Ensuring all POS is signed off by both SSP and suppliers within time frames allotted * Communication of all Trade Marketing activity to Operations Team * Handling any operational queries to do with Trade Marketing activity * Audit and evaluate key activities operationally and manage any implementation issues appropriately * Management of supplier sampling requests and bespoke location based activity * Ad hoc support for Trade Marketing team (competitor benchmarking, competitor audits, data requests) * Create 'brag book' of examples of successful supplier activity within the estate- to be used as example of best practice internally and externally to engage suppliers and give evidence of compliance2. Support Space Planning manager with delivery of space planning initiatives to support Brand Commercial Plans to deliver LFL sales and General Practitioner growth * Help to create data led planograms and range lists for SSP brands * Data analysis to support space planning decisions * Communicate all Space Planning activity to Operations Team * Audit and evaluate operational compliance for all activities * Handle any operational queries for space planning activities * Implementation support for key Category management activity- including ensuring products are listed on system and tills The DetailsTo be successful in this role, we need someone with the following skills * Activation + project management experience required * Ideally previous experience within relevant industry/category or commercial marketing function * Highly numerate - ability to translate management information into profit/growth Effective written and confident verbal communication skills * Ability to think commercially with understanding of how to drive profit, manage costs and increase sales * Effective MS Office skills - especially Powerpoint and Excel and aptitude to learn new (in-house) systems as required * Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, prioritising workload accordingly * Strong organisational skills, a common sense approach and can keep calm under pressure.You must be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role and be eligible to work in the UK.The BenefitsWe offer you a rewarding and vibrant working environment, real and achievable career opportunities and excellent training and development to enhance your existing skills.
