Time Served Carpenter - Residential Refurbishment Central London
We require an experienced Carpenter / Working Foreman to lead a team on a new project in Fulham with potential to work long term on future projects. We are a growing construction firm based in South West London. We work in the residential sector in both refurbishment and new build high-end projects. We require an enthusiastic, committed, organised, experienced and hard working carpenter leader to initially manage a small sites and liaise with the Project Manager. A carpenter by trade you will be working on the tools when not managing the site. The role has the potential to develop to run larger projects starting after Christmas.
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Carpenter by trade (time served).
- Minimum 5 years foreman experience in residential refurbishment.
- Excellent building knowledge and understanding of current building regulations.
- Excellent scheduling of labour and materials plus organisational skills.
- Ability to manage sub-contractors on site overseeing quality and ensuring works carried out are to original specification.
- Ability to keep site diary and site paperwork in order
- Ability to work from specifications and drawings.
- Attention to detail critical.
- English speaking essential.
- Superb leadership skills, punctual, presentable and polite.
The successful candidate shall be given a trial period. Upon completion of the trial period a full time role is available. Salary and benefits to be agreed dependent on experience.
