We are looking for a positive, proactive and confident temporary support worker to assist Mike (12) over the Easter Holidays. Mike is a charming boy who enjoys swimming, watching TV and playing computer games. He has a global developmental delay and suffers from billateral hearing loss.
Your role would be to assist Mike in undertaking a varied program set by a Physiotherapist, SALT, OT and a Clinical Psychologist. Developing Mike’s independence, you will provide an empathetic and proactive approach in supporting his community activities thus enriching his communication, daily living and social skills.
The job will require you to work closely with Mike’s family and a team of professionals so a team player is essential.
This job will suit an energetic, caring and kind person who enjoys working within a family home and providing 1:1 support. This is a great opportunity to work with this fantastic family and help MIke to reach his full potential.
