£15.00 Gross per hour. Temporary SEN Nanny / Manny to work with Fred, 3, who has Dravet Syndrome from 13th to 31st August 2022
Title: Temporary Full Time SEN Nanny / Manny | Kentish Town, NW1
Location: Kentish Town, NW1
Nearest Train / Tube Station: Kentish Town West / Kentish Town / Chalk Farm.
Wage / Salary: £15.00 gross per hour
Driver required: No
Essential: Paediatric first aid, SEN experience.
Desired: experience with epilepsy
Start Date: 13th – 31st August 2022
Days and Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm.
Fred, (almost!) 3, is an active young chap who just loves being outside; playing football, at the park, paddling pools and soft play. He also enjoys sensory Toys and books, especially Velcro and the ‘That’s Not My…’ series. Fred has Dravet Syndrome, a complex form of epilepsy, developmental delay with limited verbal communication and his mobility can be ataxic, meaning he tends to run rather than walk and is very energetic!
We are looking for a temporary SEN Nanny / Manny for three weeks in August to cover Fred’s parents’ working hours. The job will involve spending the days with Fred, organizing fun activities (Fred does tend to move on from one activity more quickly than his peers), giving him his lunch and putting him down for a nap in the middle of the day. Fred is still in nappies and the SEN Nanny / Manny will also need to be prepared to administer his emergency medication.
This role will suit an enthusiastic and caring SEN Nanny / Manny who really enjoys spending time with children as Fred loves cuddles and engages well with adults. You must have bundles of energy and the ability to think on your feet to keep up with him! experience with epilepsy would be beneficial, although an epilepsy nurse can offer training on Fred’s emergency protocol if required.
Great opportunity to spend three weeks with a lively little lad and help him to enjoy his summer holidays to the max! If interested, please apply today!
Please note, whilst Snap endeavour to reply to all applications, some of our positions are so popular this is not possible and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
