Nanny position in Willesden Green/ Brondesbury Park area.  11 pounds per hour net (including holiday).
Our boys are George (10) and Charles (6).  They are at Arnold House School in St John's Wood.
We need a nanny to join our family from mid/late January until early July 2022.  (Ideally 22 Jan - 6 July 2022).
35 Hours per week flexible hours.  Typically it would be 1-7 pm from Monday to Thursday then 8-7 on Fridays, with 3 hours of babysitting on top, usually on a Wednesday or Thursday.   Additional babysitting on request/ by arrangement (not obligatory).
Huge plus is that it involves 5 weeks of paid holiday (of our choosing) during that period, with one week in February half term (Feb 12-16) and almost four weeks off over Easter (March 22 - April 17).
We are looking for an experienced, local nanny.  Ideally you will be a local, native English speaker.  You do not need to be Ofsted registered (although we consider that a bonus if you are, so tell us when you apply) but you will have at least 8 years of experience with children of similar ages as a nanny, with fantastic references.  That experience will have been in the UK, and you will hold qualifications in paediatric first aid and will have CACHE level 3.
Duties will include all aspects of caring for a 10 year old boy and a 6 year old boy:
- Arriving promptly at 1 pm;
- Preparing the boys' delicious and healthy supper;
- Tidying the boys' rooms and putting away clothes etc;
- Picking boys up from school (3:30 ish) by tube from St John's Wood - and taking to after school clubs/activities e.g. Tennis, cricket, chess, violin, playdates.
- Supervising homework and music practice;
- Organising their diaries and booking activities; liaising with us;
- Supervising bath time and cleaning teeth in the evening.
- Reading Charles a bedtime story or three;
- Stacking, emptying dishwasher and tidying up and wiping down at the end of meal times and at the end of the day (although we have a cleaner once a week for housecleaning)
-  Kids' laundry and ironing– and changing sheets once a week/ as necessary;
- Taking in the Ocado delivery and putting all the food away.
- Ideally cooking a family evening meal on a Friday night.
- Running occasional errands e.g. To the dry cleaner's and post office.
- Packing and emptying book bags/gym bags of homework and messages from school, checking info (e.g. Dressing up days, charity days, packed lunches for school trips)
-  Sticking artwork into the scrap book every so often.
- Communicating effectively with us through use of the desk diary and notebook, or email.
- Organising play dates, days out, inviting other children over for parties/play dates.
- Having fun, being positive, fitting in well, getting Stuck in as a fixture in our family by networking with local mums and nannies.
- Playing with the boys - building train tracks and towers; painting and crafting; cooking and baking; kicking a football; going to the park.
- Booking regular dental check-ups; checking immunisations are up to date; accompanying them to General Practitioner.
The reason we require a temporary nanny is that we are planning a two-month sabbatical over the summer holidays.  When we return in early September we will require someone who can flex between term-time and holidays.  There is a possibility that the role could be extended if this fits in.
