TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT ASSISTANT - BRAND NEW CONCEPT LAUNCHTHE VENUEThe venue is a brand new, ground-breaking technology focused social entertainment concept, combining the finest hospitality and food and beverage, with award winning design and a compelling and fun tech driven activity - yet to be revealed!THE ROLEThe candidate will perform a variety of technical support duties to ensure the smooth delivery of the venue's technology infrastructure and ensure all technical needs are being maintained once infrastructure is in place.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Work with the design and installation teams in the configuration and set-up of mechanical and electronic infrastructure* Assist in delivery of venue launch and drive toward operational excellence* Provide ongoing support during operational hours and detailed maintenance out of operational hours* Liaise with both the management team and guests about any faults they experience before completing detailed log and completing swift repair or reporting to wider technical teamESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:* Ability to demonstrate practical and mechanical awareness and a passion for IT and mechanical engineering* Ability to talk about technology in simple terms and coordinate any issues with the system architects* Strong grasp of industrial automation* Good IT skills - Windows , servers , Linux , Office , virtualisation , redundancy , backups, radio / wifi networks , IOS , Android* Familiarity with The Internet Of Things* Self-motivated and forward thinking* Logical thinking, excellent problem solving with strong analytical skills* Good time management, well organised with the ability to prioritise* Able and happy working flexible shift patterns - the venue is a 7 day operation and open morning until late evening* Able to work in confined places and access components in restricted access locationsBACKGROUND* Good qualification in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering: academic or vocational* experience in technical support* Proven background in understanding technological and mechanical problem solving.
