Lewisham Nexus Service supports adults with learning disabilities and complex needs living in their own homes in South East London and attending day services. We have vacancies for:
DAY SERVICES TEAM LEADER, full time post, 37 hours per week.
Salary £19,703 per annum
To lead day to day activities ensuring the people we support have access to stimulating activities that offer them the opportunity to both develop their skills and interests and provide them with new experiences.
Provide leadership and direction to staff in specified day services; provide staff on the job coaching demonstrating individualised person centred support and good practice.
You should have at least two years experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and ideally have had some responsibility for the supervision of staff.
SUPPORT WORKERS, full time post, 37 hours per week
Salary £17,558 per annum, sleep-in payments £50 per sleep-in plus enhancements for Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays worked. Some services also require waking nights for which enhancements are also paid.
Although previous experience of support work is not essential for the support worker post, we are looking for people who are committed to improving the lives of the people we support and who can demonstrate an understanding of issues faced by adults with learning disabilities
