We are seeking a patient one-to-one to work alongside a boy who just started at an independent secondary school this September He has autism and needs concepts to be broken down into bite-sized chucks, he has slow auditory processing, so having visual and written supports are helpful to him.
His new school is a small independent secondary which is kind and understanding of children with additional needs. The school day starts at 8:30 for a breakfast provided by the school, followed by attending morning lessons with the boy to assist him as needed with academics and behaviour management. The role continues until 1pm, with lunch included again provided by the school.
The boy's family will employ the TA with a salary between £14,000-15,000 pa.
Free breakfasts and lunches are provided by the school, you also will attend Inset days to receive the same training as all other staff. Hours are 9am-1pm with breakfast at 8:30.
Candidates shall:
Have the right to work in the UK
Have a clear DBS
Have experience working with children with additional needs especially autism
Be a team player
Be able to work the hours of 9am-1pm during term time.
