We are seeking a patient one to one to work along side a boy entering an independent secondary school in September. He has several things going on including sensory processing disorder, ADHD, hypermobility of all of his joints, and weak core strength. At times he displays challenging behaviour, so someone who is calm and has de-escalation techniques would suit the situation well.
His new school is a small independent secondary which is kind and understanding of children with additional needs.
The school day will start at 8:30 for a breakfast provided by the school, then attend morning lessons with the boy to assist him as needed with academics and behaviour management.
The role continues until 1pm with lunch included again provided by the school.
The school employs the one to one and you will work a termly role with a salary of £14, 916 per annum, which is half time pro rata of £29,832. Free breakfasts and lunches are provided by the school, you also will attend inset days to receive the same trainings as all other staff.
Hours are 9am-1pm with breakfast at 8:30.
Candidates shall:
Have the right to work in the UK

Have experience working with children with additional needs especially ADHD, sensory processing disorder, and ideally hypermobility
Be a team player
Able to work the hours of 9am-1pm during term time.
