Risk Control is a specialist provider of technical risk management consulting and software. Risk Control works with major financial institutions such as banks, insurers, and asset managers on high level risk and policy issues.
We seek an experienced System Administrator to provide technical support and system administration services for our IT infrastructure on a part-time but permanent basis.
The ideal candidate would be available on a regular but flexible basis for one day a week and possibly for more days per week for an agreed initial period.
This role could suit an experienced IT professional who has other personal or professional commitments and therefore seeks part-time work.
Requirements:
1. At least five years of relevant experience.
2. Experienced in installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems,
networks, printers and scanners in both Microsoft and Unix/Linux environments.
3. Deep knowledge of the installation and maintenance of networks (Ethernet, IP,
Firewall, Routing, etc.) for both Microsoft and Unix/Linux environments.
4. Able to resolve infrastructure issues involving e-mail, printers, wired and wireless
networks, VOIP, and server management.
5. Skills in matters of security and experienced with the development of backup
solutions.
6. Able to prepare workstations and accounts for use.
7. Knowledgeable about the maintenance of technical facilities and able to perform
repairs when needed and able to support other technical projects as needed.
8. Right to work in the UK.
The salary will be pro rata based on a £40,000 annual salary and bonus.
Interviews will be held on a rolling basis. The start date is immediate and the closing date for applications is 30th September 2022.
