Title of Position: Swimming Teacher
Pay Rate: Level 2 Swimming Teacher, £25.00 per hour.
Fundamental Tasks: To teach a range of aquatic skills to individuals and to group using Swim England’s National Teaching Plan. To promote water safety and uphold the sporting ethic. To report to the Pool Manager to work to develop and improve the swim school programme.
Main Roles

To work with Groups/Individuals of swimmers to help them achieve the aims required by the National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS).
Ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of the swimming lesson programme.
Plan and deliver lessons ensuring adherence to the scheme of work and lessons plans.
Identify swimmers’ abilities and encourage them to reach their full potential.
Identify and cater to individuals with a Special Educational Needs or Disability.
Deliver excellent customer service and Swimmer experience.
Ensure that the Great Waves Ethos is upheld at all times and to create an enjoyable experience for all.
Be polite, welcoming and enthusiastic to all.
Co-ordinate and Communicate with the Poolside Manager on any issues that affect the Swim School Programme.
Complete Swim School reports on pupils progress and liaise with parents, where required to do so.
Work effectively as part of a Team.
Liaise with other members of the team as required to best fulfil your role as a Teacher.
To undertake any additional duties as may be required by Great Waves Swimming Academy.
