Upcoming and Vibrant South West London based Removal and Storage company is looking for applicants to become part of our unique Removal and Storage Team This is primarily a Manual Handling job which is vigorous work at times, early morning starts and requires you to be fit and strong.
We are seeking Mainly EXPERIENCED Drivers and Team leaders right now who have experience driving mainly Luton Lwb vehicles, who are able bodied and fit enough to do the Manual Handling part of the job and at some point manage a team.If you have had no experience of doing removal before ,please do not apply. This job entails lifting and moving of furniture, boxes ,pianos, dismantling/re-assembly, staircases, packing of vehicle and boxes in a professional manner.We also have our Courier, Handyman and Cleaning Department which you will also be involved for you to be aware of what it entails before applying for a position within the company
Therefore, if you have a driver’s licence,25 and over, and is fit and strong you are definitely needed immediately.If you are just under 25 we will still consider you as well as long as you have had experience in doing this job before.If you can only work weekends that fine as well.We are also looking for Experienced Porters as well.If you fit the bill then you will be hired Right Away, no messing.We do not have time to waste as we are building a solid team to achieve our goals.
Drivers/Porters who are also multi- talented, in the field of, computer/ IT skills and networking, Handyman skills, Packing skills, Customer service ,Sales-Aggressive Marketing, Inventory and Administration, will also be of keen interest to our company. There may also be a 5-10 minutes meeting to discuss a particular job and the customer's requirement. As such you are required to be at work for between 7:30- 7:45am sharp[sometimes a bit earlier] on most occasions depending on job requirements to be apart of the meeting.We also have contracts with furniture companies that may on occasion require an earlier start of between 5:30 -6 am.Lateness will only Hamper the productivity and reliability of our company and our reputation so Please only apply if you can meet this criteria consistently.DO NOT apply if you have circumstances that will ultimately prevent you from being able to attend work early or on fairly regular basis, such as mandatory family obligations/responsibilities, long term sickness, alcohol/drug dependency and any other mitigating factors/circumstances.
Applicants with previous removal experience will still be on 3-4 months probation to evaluate if the standard of work you did prior is what is expected at our company.Our company aim is to have the job done in a safe, professional and very efficient manner. Your salary can be increased after probation if you meet the standard and commitment required.
We now have several very Good Wage Packages for Drivers and Porters from which you will have the opportunity to choose once you are employed. Salary is paid on a MONTHLY basis for you to be aware. Your Salary can also be significantly increased before the end of your probation once you display the qualities needing, especially if you have gained experience in Packing the vehicle and Packing Service within a property at an efficient rate with no breakage/damage and display Team leadership qualities deserving of a promotion. After a period of on the job training, assessment and probation you will be assessed based on your learning curve and commitment to being a part of our ever expanding Team.All staff will be required to attend any mandatory training as scheduled by the company to ensure our consistent level of quality workmanship in the industry.You will be supplied with company PPE Equipment for your safety.
We have our Bonus Package once you have completed your probation and you are also given gratuity by most of our customers once the job is completed in an efficient and professional manner. Gratuity will be collected on the job by the Team leader to be shared with all the staff on a monthly basis
Drivers and Porters who prove to be very efficient workers and can complete more than 1-2 jobs per day will be on our Priority Bonus Package which will be discussed in further details once you are working with the company.
You will be required to complete a "Work Trial" for anywhere between 1-2 days after, which if judged suitable, you will be offered a temporary contract for the first 4-6 months, at the end of which an assessment will be done to determine if you qualify for a permanent contract. As stated before, Salary is paid on a monthly basis.All inquiries about salary will be discussed if and when you are offered a contract, not before.You will be required to be in full clean uniform attire and appropriate hygiene whilst on the job with no deviations.On some occasions your Trial can start the first day you arrive so be prepared. This will then be followed by a formal interview.The reasoning behind this is because we have had applicants in the past that have given very good interview on paper but cannot manage the physicality of work required for the job or cannot drive and operate our vehicles in a safe manner. However we do have interviews followed by Work trial as well.
Please bring all documentation, drivers licence, NI ,passport, etc when coming in to the office for the first time for our perusal and to check your entitlement to work here in the UK.We have a no nonsense approach to our business and we would want our potential employees to have the same attitude. Preferably wear a black trousers, combat trousers or jeans with black shoes or trainers, black shirt/t-shirt and black jacket-NO Hoodies.You will be provided with an high visibility vest. Uniforms and safety Equipment and company Identification once you have been accepted for the position. However if you turn up in the inappropriate bizarre coloured attire you will not be allowed to accomplish the Work Trial.Our clients for the most part are high end customers, so uniformity of our staff is very important for our Brand of removal Service. To be very honest and clear, this is a very physically demanding job and unfortunately it is not for everyone.
