Support Worker Disabilities - Edgware LondonAn experienced Support Worker is required to work with as part of a team to support people with disabilities in the North London area. What will you being doing Reporting to a Unit Manager you will assist in the provision of high quality specialist care and support services to adults with hearing and visual impairments.The role would suit an enthusiastic, energetic person with experience of working and assisting in the provision of good quality care and support to attend various activities throughout the day. What is required from you You will be required have:Essential 1 At least 1 years support worker experience 2 NVQ level 2 in a Health and Social Care related qualification. 3 Moving and handling of people certificate dated within the past 12 months 4 An enhanced DBS dates within the past 12 months. (preferably on the update service) Desirable Training can be provided but you will expected to have or attain the following mandatory training: * Safeguarding * Health and safety * First aid awareness * experience of supporting people with hearing or visual impairments * Sign language or Makaton experience This post is based on a 7 hours per day up to 5 days per week. Ideally you will be available 5 days per week Mon - Fri. The pay is £8.80phPlease note: This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
