HB is looking for someone lovely and ambitious to enjoy some full-time coffee making, customer service, and team support with us. Looking after our Rota, and being the go to fixer and coverer of shifts is key to this role, and the right individual will have lots of support and encouragement and training from our management team. It involves 40 hours of shift work, at The Bureau this could be behind the coffee machine, on the floor, helping rinse a dish or behind the till, so we always need strong and committed all rounders.
We're looking for someone that really enjoys their time working, loves food and drink, and wants to deliver the very best customer service. We're a much loved local, neighbourhood venue so maintaining the right atmosphere and quality of service is absolutely essential to our recruitment!
If you have a few years of catering and hospitality work, are a bit of an all rounder, and a people person, looking for a more involved, management role with the opportunities to support events and promotion we would love to hear from you!
Hackney Bureau is a friendly, local, neighbourhood cafe and restaurant in Hackney. The Bureau opened in 2010 and was founded as an art gallery and coffee shop. It grew to become a popular destination serving breakfast, lunch and dinner! The Bureau does a mean Pegg and is excellent at smashing avocado.
The Bureau is always on the look out for energetic, outgoing, personable people with a love of coffee and food to work with. The Bureau helps operate two sister venues in the borough as well, an arts cocktail bar and a pub. So there are plenty of opportunities.
