Study Support are looking for tutors who are flexible and enthusiastic to teach either English, Maths or Science from Year 2 to GCSE. We run weekend classes to promote a strong basis of education and nurture a positive attitude towards learning. Our focus is on student progression and providing a solid foundation for them entering college and beyond.
Job Description
To support teaching within the specified subject area through undertaking one or more of the following key responsibilities.
Main Responsibilities
Deliver pre-planned material to students.
Help students with school homework and projects.
Challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in academics.
Help progress student character and attitude towards learning.
Help run workshops with professionals in industry.
Mark and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students. Contribute to setting assignments.
To be aware of any Health and Safety, disability, equality or welfare issues, and raise any concerns with the Course Organiser.
To Apply for the Role
Available to tutor on Saturday or Sunday.
Minimum commitment of 4 hours per week.
Be flexible with their time.
Be an undergraduate student, graduate student or have QTS (A level students can apply for Assistant Tutor role)
Have a B grade or above in English, Maths and Science at GCSE level.
Provide information for DBS (previously known as CRB) checks.
Undergo training.
