We seek someone who has at least several years being a go-to in a manufacturing environment as a team leader or workshop manager. You set the tone for the day understanding how to get the best out of your team. Ideally you are competent with a wide range of hand tools and machinery. Having a zero tolerance approach to health and safety. It is key to be both hands on and delegate effectively. Working always closely with the Production Manager and senior technical team to up skill and train the team to ever changing needs of the company.
Skills:
Process Driven, Detail oriented, Part technical part project manager.
Able to prioritise tasks from a production schedule.
Previous understanding of manufacturing/engineering an advantage.
Technical or practical skills an advantage.
Able to delegate effectively
Able to train and encourage staff.
Able to prioritise a workflow.
Keep production and morale high in a busy workshop.
The Role
Daily distribution of tasks amongst the workshop staff.
Support workshop staff with any technical or production questions.
Sign off work that meets quality standards.
Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure quality is high and each deliverable is met.
Stock check and order raw materials, tools and workshop equipment.
Inducting new staff and ongoing training.
Motivate workshop staff to maintain high standards, cleanliness, Safety.
