Studio Assistant at The Light Lab

The Light Lab are specialists in the design, build and manufacture of bespoke lighting solutions within the architectural lighting design industry.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working Studio Assistant to join our small but busy team; supporting 8 staff in our studio in the heart of Shoreditch. This is a permanent role and we would prefer applicants who are looking to make a medium to long-term commitment.
The hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm
The role includes:
• General office duties: answering phones, e-mails, general messaging for
the office and liaising with clients/suppliers
• Organising and maintaining all office administration, to include computer file management, purchase orders, deliveries, stationery and office supplies, couriers, building management, company vehicle management, etc.
• Managing purchase orders and receipts
• Booking couriers/freight shipping
• Managing samples database – sending/collecting
• Managing new project enquiries, entering into database.
We would hope that the role could develop to include more project management over time.

Essential for this role:
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Professional telephone manner
• Great organisational skills
• Lots of enthusiasm, flexibility and a sense of humour
• Some experience in an administration / office support role.
• Computer literacy – full knowledge of all MS office and Google docs/sheets etc
• Any PhotoShop/Illustrator/InDesign an added bonus, but not required
