*** Student Welfare and Behaviour Supervisor ****** Mainstream Secondary School ****** "Good" Ofsted ****** Redbridge ****** as soon as possible Start *** We are working with a "Good" Ofsted-rated mainstream secondary school in Redbridge who are currently looking to recruit a Student Welfare and Behaviour Supervisor to start as soon as possible. This will be working under the Pastoral Manager and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring the supervision, safety and welfare of students in circulation areas at the start of school, during break/lunch times, end of school and in the playground. The hours are 8:00-16:00.You will be expected to:* Participate in all aspects of the management and improvement of Student Behaviour and the prevention of poor behaviour in line with the schools Behaviour Policy.* To patrol the school site during lesson transition, moving on students to lesson where necessary.* Participate in the supervision of Learning Zone; registering students who are internally excluded and organising work for them.* To carry out lesson visits for students on the behaviour tracker. * To escort any sick or injured students to the medical room or call for medical assistance.* To report any incidents where students have acted in a manned deemed to be dangerous, defiant or disrespectful.* Assisting Student Reception with on-site nurse visits, student injections. * Act as an exam invigilator, if required.* To be trained as a first aider.* To cover Student Reception for unwell students and liaise with home as required.* To be flexible as a member of the Inclusion Team, supporting the work of the rest of the team when appropriate.* Flexibility with changing hours as necessary for the smooth running of the school.* To attend training as required.* Working during the school holidays to a maximum of 2 weeks per year, with adequate notice. The school is within walking distance of a tube station and is also accessible by a number of popular bus routes.Key skills and experience needed:Previous support work within a school or other transferable child-related experienceA firm presence and strong behaviour management Professional manner. Proactive, engaging and empathetic.
