We are on the lookout for an ambitious, tenacious and resourceful assistant manager to help support the business and become an integral part of it's growth. Our existing management team is all male, so ideally we are looking for a female manager!
Strongroom Bar is a 300 capacity multi-faceted independent venue. One of the oldest in the Shoreditch area and part of the legendary Strongroom recording studios. We have always been a creative and cultural hub and known for our vast and eclectic beer and whisky range, independently minded music nights and showcasing the best London food pop ups. Our huge courtyard (one of the largest outdoor areas in the vicinity) plays host to beer festivals, silent discos, scooter rallies and live music events and is a major draw in the summer months.
The ideal candidate will possess;
previous experience in a busy bar environment
excellent communication skills
an acute attention to detail
a proactive approach to encouraging sales
exceptional customer service
encyclopaedic knowledge of beer (a healthy interest at least!)
an enthusiasm for gin and whisky
previous experience in a food led business
knowledge of H and S systems
confidence in recording and analysing financial data
a firm grasp of social media and current trends throughout the industry

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the venue which will include the management and motivation of staff, as well as stock control and the development, marketing and implementation of new ideas to grow the business.
Personal license preferable. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
