Villa Mama's London is looking for talented and industrious Chef de Parties, preferably with experience in Middle Eastern, Turkish or Indian cuisine.
Villa Mama’s is a new neighbourhood restaurant open in Chelsea Green, London. With two successful restaurants, a deli, catering service and food truck in Bahrain, chef owner Roaya Saleh uses fresh, seasonal ingredients as the starting point for new and traditional dishes from Bahrain, Persia and India.
Open for lunch and dinner, it is a warm and convivial space where local and international guests can share food, drink and conversation. We also offer catering, home delivery and a selection of house-made retail products.

General:
• To work with Head Chef, Sous Chefs and kitchen team to maintain high standards of work in the kitchen and quality of food in its preparation, cooking and presentation
• Take responsibility for personal development by attending training sessions or meetings as required and maintain knowledge of current industry trends
Kitchen:
• Work to ensure that the highest standards of food preparation, cooking and presentation and constantly and consistently maintained
• Maintain a clean working environment in line with all current Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations, adhering to Food Handling and Villa Mamas SOPs
• Keep all areas of the kitchen are clean and tidy at all times, including your section being left clean and tidy ready for end of shift handover
• Follow all kitchen opening and closing procedures
• Handle, store, prepare and serve all food products safely and in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and Villa Mamas SOPs
• Manage your prep list with guidance from Chef de Partie, making sure that waste is kept to a minimum and that all prep is completed on time and to standard
• Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications to maintain consistency and standards
• Complete fridge and stock lists as required
• Operate all kitchen equipment and conduct yourself with safety in mind at all times
• Report any maintenance requirements and hazards in the workplace to the Sous Chef or Head Chef
Requirements:
• Minimum 6 months experience
• experience in high volume, upscale restaurant kitchens preferably with knowledge of Arabic cuisine
• Language Skills: English required, Arabic an asset
• Working proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• High energy, positive attitude, willingness to learn and grow
• Well-presented and well groomed
• Results oriented with ability to prioritise and attention to detail
• Team member with an appreciation for a fast-paced diverse, multi-cultural environment
