Street Food Chef / Manager F/T Brixton
28 Is a steak concept by the Ladle and Skillet street-food team. Deriving its name from 28 day dry-aged on the bone and 100% grass-fed British heritage meat, 28 has a kiosk in Brixton with a roll-out plan for restaurants in London currently underway. We are also re-branding to 28 and on our Southbank market stall.
You: lively personality, loves interacting with people, genuine love of and knowledge of good food, previous street-food, restaurant kitchen or grill experience, excellent clear English and able to add up! Keen and able chef who loves steak. Good initiative, confident, happy, really good at staying cool when the queue gets long. Happy with management responsibility (or open to training) – and equally happy cooking up a storm and serving front-of-house. Great attention to detail from ensuring all processes are followed such as cleaning, following HACCP processes to caring that each dish we serve looks Instagrammable and tastes consistently good. Pop Brixton was just awarded Foodism’s Best Food Market 2022.
Brixton kiosk is open 7 days a week from 11am to 11pm – midnight (although closing time is earlier Mon – Thu) Expect evening and weekend work. You can also expect progression opportunities as we grow.
