Planning Supervisor
Summary of role
You are responsible for receiving and despatching goods, including stocktaking, ordering, dispensing and traceability.  You will work alongside the Planning Supervisor Manger to ensure stock is maintained at appropriate levels, in good quality, segregated where required and that traceability and QC papers are completed with accuracy.
Responsibilities Receiving goods

To receive goods and inspect quality as per procedure.
Reject goods of poor quality or not approved.
To approve and sign delivery document
To complete all relevant paperwork, in particular traceability documents.

Decanting and dispensing goods

To Decant goods into storage containers in accordance with the allergen policy and Decant procedure.
To dispense goods for planned production in accordance with recipes.
Thoroughly inspect the product quality, foreign bodies such as stones, pips or chemical contamination on the tray.
To complete QA related papers, in particular traceability documents.

Stock management

To ensure that goods are stocked in appropriate quantity.  This is a function of ensuring no stock outs, buying in commercially sensible amounts for price purposes, placing small orders for goods that need to be rotated to stay fresh, overall not tying up too much cash in stocks.
To ensure stock is rotated on a FIFO basis.
To carry out monthly stock takes

Maintenance of store room

To maintain store room in accordance with the cleaning Rota.
Products stored are within best before date and segregated where required.

Hygiene, Health and Safety

To follow all health and safety guidelines to keep you and your colleagues safe.

Dispatch of goods made

To prepare pallets to be dispatched. This entails: ensuring pallets are labelled correctly (product, quantity and destination), invoice and delivery note matches case quantity and product description, collection drivers to sign document and inspect and load vehicles.

Ordering of goods (in the absence of Planning Supervisor)

To place orders with suppliers based on production plan and in commercially sensible quantities.
To ensure only approved goods are ordered in accordance with Product and Supplier registers (on order sheet or approved by way of signed purchase order)
Order good in appropriate quantities, allowing for sufficient shelf life.
To keep order sheets updated with product name, code, minimum stock, maximum stock, lead time so that sheets are a dependable tool and reflect order requirements.
