If you are currently an executive housekeeper or head housekeeper and would like to progress your career and become an Assistant House Manager then this job will be for you! The role is based in a beautiful home in the Hampstead area of London working for a professional couple who do not have children living at home, but do have family and friends visiting on a regular basis. A driver is essential for this role.
Job Description
This is a role that will require you to help the House Manager wherever is needed in the home and to deputise in his absence. The house already has a full time domestic couple and a cleaner who do the majority of the cleaning, but you will need to be 'hands on' particularly to look after more specialist items such as artwork and antiques. You will also be asked to prepare a light lunch or cook a simple supper if the chef is not on duty, and you may also be asked to serve. Duties will also include liaising with other members of staff and contractors. You will also be required for some driving duties which includes shopping. It is also essential that candidates are pet lovers as you will be taking care of their pets which include two dogs and two cats.
There is currently a full time domestic couple, cleaner, security staff and team of gardeners. The position is based on a 5.5 day week on a Rota system with the House Manager which includes working alternative weekends. Days will usually start at 7.30am and can run late until around 8.30pm. Nearby accommodation can be provided. Negotiable salary.

Candidate Requirements
It is essential that you have at least 3 years experience working at executive housekeeper or head housekeeper level in an executive style residence and that you understand how a house of this level runs. You will need to be able to work as part of a team but also capable of organising your own day, staff rotas etc.
Days of Work, Salary - Live in or Live Out.
This can be a live in or live out role. You will be working a five and a half day week on a Rota basis with the House Manager and your days can sometimes start as early as 7.30am or finish as late as 8.30pm. You will have time off at weekends. If you want to live in separate accommodation will be available (sorry no pets, partners or children).
Salary will depend on experience and whether you are living in or out but will be in the region of £500-650 net per week.
