Your chance to use those Sous Chef skills to step up to Head Chef. Long established (30 years) family run restaurant are looking for a strong sous chef who fancies a crack at the top spot.
Must have experience of BOTH table dining and large 100 + buffet/ banqueting/ BBQ work.
We host 50 weddings every year, mostly at the weekends in our award winning garden setting. With a wonderful mezzanine floor restaurant and Gothic Bar.
Modern European and French a la Carte menu midweek with large 100 + weddings most weekends. And a small Mon-Fri lunchtime trade.
Must be prepared to work in small kitchen but with vast cellar and storage facility in this "castle-like" building. Typically 5 evenings per week and be prepared to work single handed during (quiet but regular) lunchtimes once or twice week.
Must be available to start. You will be expected to serve notice where you are currently working and not let anyone down before starting here full-time.
All usual benefits plus 20 days paid holiday.
Very friendly kitchen atmosphere. This position would suit someone tired of working for a soulless chain and wanting to branch out creatively working with a small but like minded team with THEIR menu and THEIR costings for this French themed restaurant and bar.
