Lantana is a pioneer of the Australian style café/restaurant in London. Our menu is inspired by Australia’s melting pot of culinary cultures and we pride ourselves on making everything in house with the best produce. We are looking for an ambitious, career focused Sous Chef for our flagship Fitzrovia site; a well established and busy 30 seater café/restaurant with a takeaway store next door.
Since opening in 2008 we have grown to 3 central London restaurants and published a cookbook in 2014. We are consistently recognised as a leader in our field of all day casual dining from our famous brunches through to evening share plates.
Our ideal Sous Chef:
Has a well-travelled palate and able to demonstrate a passion for food;
Has experience in leading a team in a fast-paced restaurant;
Has a good understanding of managing stock levels, GPs and labour within budgetary requirements;
Is a perfectionist and motivated to deliver outstanding food quality 100% of the time.
You will work an average of less than 50 hours per week (no doubles).
We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and nurturing environment with an emphasis on development and promotion from within. This position would be an excellent stepping stone for an aspiring head chef.
Depending on experience the position comes with a package of £28,000 per annum.
