Sous Chef for Gastro Pub in London

We are a well-known, independent gastro pub in De Beauvoir Town (Dalston).
The menu on offer is Modern British / Modern European and all food is created using fresh produce.
The Talbot Pub and Dining has received excellent reviews for its fresh seasonal menu and service standards.
We are currently looking for a strong, passionate, creative Sous Chef to work with our Head Chef in creating interesting and exciting menus.
We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.
Role / Candidate:
You will…
• Have previous experience as a Sous Chef in a gastro pub environment for more than 2 years.
• Have good timekeeping and a sense of urgency in service.
• Deliver consistent food with excellent presentation and quick and efficient service.
• Have excellent organisational skills.
• Be self-motivated and efficient.
• Be able to manage a small team.
• Be presentable, tidy and communicate professionally with management and staff.
• Be aware of health and safety regulations and uphold high standards of food hygiene.
• Keep your stock and wastage under control and your kitchen immaculately clean.
• Have at least Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
• Be responsible for the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Salary and benefits:
The position is 5-6 shifts per week over 5 days.
£28k - £30k per annum +
