Sous Chef at the award-winning gastropub, The Fox and Grapes, Wimbledon.

The Jolly Fine Pub Group is an award-winning business run by chef Paul Merrett and restaurateur Greg Bellamy. Together they run 3 Gastropubs: The Victoria in SW14, The Malt House in SW6 and The Fox and Grapes in SW19.
We are currently looking to recruit a sous chef to assist in the smooth running of the kitchen at the award-winning The Fox and Grapes in SW19.
The qualities we look for in a potential sous chef:
Previous sous chef experience in quality gastropub or restaurant
Minimum of 4 years working in high-quality establishments
Excellent knowledge of food
A passion for the restaurant industry and a knowledge of latest trends and styles
The ability to work well in a friendly team environment
Be friendly, outgoing, ambitious and energetic
Have a professional attitude to your job and career
Be legally eligible to work full time in the UK
Be looking for a permanent job for at least 2 years
Enjoy training and learning new skills
In return:
We will be offering up to £28,000 salary including a £2k bonus paid quarterly

The key responsibilities will include:
To assist the head chef in the running of the kitchen to meet all expected standards and targets
To deputise in the head chef’s absence
Strong understanding of management controls including staffing and Gross Profit
To contribute ideas towards each menu
Ensure quality of presentation and consistency in food whilst meeting service timings
Must have a thorough understanding of current food hygiene, health and safety legislation required to uphold food safety procedures.
