Compass Group UK and Ireland LTD operating at a prestigious independent day school in Hammersmith requires a talented Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen providing first class lunches to 730 students and 130 adults.
Duties include preparing and cooking great tasting innovative lunches using the freshest ingredients.
Assisting the Head chef in all aspects of food safety, health and safety, and allergen legislation.
You will play an active role in preparing menus for lunch as well as a very busy hospitality service where the highest standards are required.
The ideal candidate will have C and G qualifications, or NVQ equivalent as well as experience of working in a large kitchen.
The hours are as required depending on business needs but broadly.
07:00 To 16:00 hrs Monday to Friday. During busy periods the finish time can vary up to 22:00 hrs.
Very generous paid holidays of approximately 12 weeks per year.
Successful applicant will need to provide their right to work in the UK, provide 2 written references as well as complete an application for a DBS certificate and complete online Safeguarding training.
If you have spent six months or more outside of the UK in the past five years then you will be required to provide a character reference from the country visited. Normally obtained at that country’s embassy.
