Sous Chef Required in London

We are looking for an ambitious Sous Chef who would like to be part of shaping the business and future food offering. We are welcoming Sous Chefs with experience in working in fast-paced kitchens, from across the industry, branded restaurants or different types of cuisines, who can competently run busy all-day kitchens and are keen on learning and developing to Head Chef. The position is available in any of our three locations across Chelsea, Parsons Green or Balham.
What our Sous Chef will get:

Sous Chef salary: £33k - £35k  inc quarterly bonus (basic £28,000 - £30,000)
Performance related bonus of up to £5k a year. The bonus is paid quarterly and we always get our bonus!
Food research allowance to ensure you are up to speed with the latest restaurants and food in town.
Regular training, personal progression and development - our superstar chefs take an average of 3 to 6 months to jump up to next role.

The role:
As a sous chef we expect you to be passionate about food, have a great eye for detail and presentation and to be skilled in multi-tasking and working well under pressure.  In return you get creative input and a real say in the food you produce on site, working closely with your Head Chef and Executive Chef to keep things fresh and bring inspiring daily specials and salads as well as potential new dishes to the menu. You will be doing actual cooking, all our delicious and vibrant food is fresh and cooked on site, which means we will develop you as a proper chef or you be able to execute your skills in a real professional kitchen setting.
What we need from you:

experience in all day dining
Good all-round kitchen skills.
Creative - we want you to help shape the food we serve so menu development and creativity essential as you will be required to run a daily specials menu.
Passion for food, ingredients and amazing display with the desire to learn and work hard.
Strong leadership skills and you will be required to recruit, train and develop your team.
Have a positive attitude, and meticulous attention to detail.
Speak a good level of English.
Good knowledge of systems, process, H and S etc as the relevant kitchen systems need to be implemented.

Who we are:
Megan's is an all-day dining restaurant with a Mediterranean influence. In the morning, we serve breakfast's like: eggs Benedict, avocado on toast, granola, smoothies, juices and quality coffees. Over lunch we have daily chef made salads and quiches. Come the evening we serve delicious kebabs, baked eggs and stone baked pizzas. We pride ourselves on serving homely food with fantastic neighbourly service. We currently have two locations in Chelsea and Parsons Green opening our third site in beautiful and vibrant Balham in July.
