We are looking for an experienced and committed Sommelier to join the team at Luca, the sister restaurant of The Clove Club.
Luca, one of London’s most talked about restaurants, was opened in November 2021 by the owners of The Clove Club, a 1* restaurant in Shoreditch currently the 26th best restaurant in the world (San Pelligrino Awards) and the number 1 restaurant in the UK (Sunday Times).
The Company is owned by Executive Head Chef Isaac Mchale and his business partners Johnny Smith and Daniel Willis and started as a supper club in Daniel and Johnny’s flat in 2011. Their great success was lead by the original idea to create the most amazing evening possible, and since this simple expression has been their guide and warranty of success, it is their attention to detail, their love of delivering outstanding food and giving excellent service.
The ideal candidate will have
WSET training to at least level 3 - or equivalent level of knowledge
knowledge of Italian wine, the wine list at Luca is entirely Italian
previous experience in a similar restaurant for a minimum of two years
a passion for hospitality
knowledge of the London restaurant scene
a meticulous attention to detail
a high standard of personal presentation
the ability to work under pressure
