The 1920s Shanghai inspired ambience will open its doors to an eclectic selection of music and vocal performances in an atmosphere of sophisticated, charming elegance, combined with exceptional food quality underpinned by classic French fine dining service culture.The Sommelier delivers the entire wine service, from understanding needs, tastes and budget to making educated suggestions and delivering a memorable, personalised wine experience to each guest. Wine, as an essential ingredient of a table’s dining pleasure, is integral to the overall experience as is the delivery of the finest food. What you will be doing as our Sommelier:At the request of the Maître D’hotel, you will approach the table and make suggestions after consulting with the guest. The ultimate aim is that the Sommelier is given Carte Blanch to order as they see fit for the occasion to exceed expectations of the guests in all manners and levels.To become our Sommelier, you will have the below skills and experience: - Have level 2 WSET and above or academic equivalent- Working experience in a luxury restaurant.- Exceptional interpersonal skills to ensure you can devise the perfect wine accompaniment to a meal to meet taste and occasion.- Have knowledge in all aspects of wine, particularly French wine, and fine spirits, and be educated in the wine list at Park Chinois.- Have a professional and easy demeanour- You should be immediately likeable and trustworthy.If you feel you have the skills and experience to become our Sommelier please click ‘apply’ today.
